A sharp PUBG stylish name gets noticed in the kill feed, on the results screen and in every clan invite. Whether you play PUBG Mobile or BGMI, the right mix of font and symbol can make a plain nickname feel like a brand.
This guide covers what the game allows, the symbols that display properly, and dozens of names you can copy or remix.
PUBG name rules at a glance
- Length: names are short, roughly 14 characters. Fancy characters and symbols count toward that total.
- Rename Card: you need one to change your name. They appear in the shop and are often handed out during events.
- Filters: offensive words are blocked, and some special characters are rejected.
- Clan tags: these are set separately, so you don’t need to squeeze your clan into your name.
How to change your name in PUBG Mobile or BGMI
Once you have a Rename Card, the process is quick:
- Create your stylish name with the Namecraft generator and copy it.
- Open the game and go to Inventory.
- Find the Rename Card and tap Use.
- Paste your name, confirm, and you’re done.
Symbols that work in PUBG
PUBG supports a wide range of Unicode, but not everything. Consequently, it’s smart to stick with symbols that players have used for years:
Small caps (ᴀʙᴄ) and bold sans letters (𝗔𝗕𝗖) are especially readable on the results screen. Meanwhile, cursive fonts look elegant but can become hard to read on smaller phones.

Tips for a name that lasts
Trends change quickly. For instance, a symbol that looked fresh last season can feel dated today. So build your name around a word you actually like, and treat symbols as a frame you can swap later. In addition, keep a plain-text version for tournaments, since many organisers ask for readable names.
Final thoughts
The best PUBG stylish name is readable in a split second and still feels personal. Pick a strong base word, choose one font, and add a single symbol. If you also play Free Fire, see our Free Fire stylish name guide for game-specific tips. You’ll find official news on the PUBG Mobile website.
Frequently asked questions
Can I change my PUBG name for free?
You need a Rename Card. They're sometimes free through events, missions or login rewards.
Why won't PUBG accept my stylish name?
Your name either contains a character the game doesn't support or it's too long. Remove rare symbols one at a time and try again.
Do the same names work in BGMI?
Yes. BGMI supports the same common symbols and fonts as PUBG Mobile.
